1. Introduction Sapts (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information within the Sapts mobile application. Sapts is designed as an offline-first application to ensure your financial data remains under your total control.

2. Data Collection (Local Storage)

  • Financial Data: All receipt images, amounts, merchant names, and categories you input are stored locally on your device’s secure storage.
  • No Server Uploads: We do not host, store, or have access to any of the receipts or financial data you manage within the App.
  • OCR Processing: Receipt scanning is performed using on-device machine learning (Google ML Kit). Images are processed locally to extract text and are not sent to our servers.

3. Data Collection (Third-Party Services) While the App itself is offline, we use the following third-party services which may collect limited data:

  • Google Play Billing: To manage “Pro” subscriptions, Google collects payment information and purchase history. Sapts only receives a “token” to confirm your subscription status. We do not see your credit card or bank details.
  • Google Play Services: Google may collect basic device identifiers and crash logs to help improve app stability.

4. Data Sharing We do not sell, trade, or share your personal or financial data with any third parties. Your data stays on your device unless you manually choose to export it (e.g., sharing a PDF report via email).

5. Data Retention and Deletion Because your data is stored locally, it is your responsibility to manage it.

  • Deletion: Uninstalling the App will generally delete the locally stored database associated with Sapts.
  • Manual Export: You are responsible for backing up your data using the export features provided.

6. Permissions The App requires the following permissions to function:

  • Camera: To take photos of receipts for scanning.
  • Storage: To save and retrieve receipt images and export PDF/CSV reports.

7. Children’s Privacy Sapts is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on our website at https://sapts.net/privacy.
