SAPTS Version 12: Bug Fix & Stability Report:

1. Startup & Performance Fixes

  • Fixed: “App Not Responding” (ANR) on Modern Devices Previously, the app could freeze during startup on high-performance devices (like the Pixel 8). By aligning our libraries to 16 KB memory pages, we have eliminated the “segmentation fault” crashes that occur on the latest Android hardware.
  • Resolved: Billing Connection Race ConditionWe fixed a bug where the app would occasionally hang if the Google Play Billing service took too long to respond. The connection logic is now handled in a safe background thread (Dispatchers.IO), ensuring the UI stays responsive.
  • Document & Signature Tools Improved: OCR Accuracy in Low Light Leveraging the new Android 15 Low Light Boost, the receipt scanner is now significantly better at “reading” text in dimly lit environments, reducing “Failed to Scan” errors. Stabilized: Signature Capture Rendering Fixed a rare memory leak that occurred when users attempted to clear and redraw a signature multiple times. The signature canvas now clears its memory cache immediately upon reset.
